The New York Red Bulls have extended the contract of Cristian Cásseres Jr. for the foreseeable future. In his second season with the Red Bulls, he has tallied 34 tackles won, 29 interceptions and 165 recoveries. The 20-year old midfielder was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year last season.
“I’m very happy to renew my contract with the New York Red Bulls, with this beautiful family that has been created by everyone that’s part of this team,” said Cásseres in a statement. “I’m glad to continue here with the team and will continue to give my all for them.”
